My story

At thirteen I learned what a woman who knows how to work is worth.

When my father died, my mother had no job. At thirteen I started working — we went together to clean and work around the village for a daily wage. That was the first time I understood something that guides me to this day: every woman should have the right to her own work. So that she is never left with nothing and without knowing how to cope, whatever life brings.

I never fitted into ordinary jobs. Wherever I worked, I looked at the company as if it were mine — studying the owners, watching how everything worked. I always stood out somehow. This is not even my first business: at eighteen I took over a traditional restaurant in Zvezdara and ran it until I left for Germany, where I handed it over to a relative.

At nineteen I moved to Germany. I started from zero. My husband and I slept on a single mattress, without a blanket, without savings or security — only with the wish to build a better life. I cleaned, did shopping errands for people from the Balkans, and then began receiving my first clients for treatments in my own bedroom.

Step by step I built a successful business in the beauty industry. When I started organising training, I realised that for most women the problem was not the craft — it was that they did not know how to turn their knowledge into a sustainable business. So I began adding the business side, and in December 2024 I completed my training as a business coach. To date, more than 250 women have gone through my programs.

I could never work for others the way it was expected of me. I always built something of my own.
